Vienna, Austria, November 13, 2025 – Bitmovin, a leading provider of video streaming solutions, today announced the launch of the Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub that brings together Bitmovin’s products to offer agentic AI services for workflow automation and to create superior experiences for viewers.
The Agentic AI Hub introduces Bitmovin’s Observability MCP server as well as three agentic solutions: Vertical Short Form Clipping, Voice Operated Seeking, and Summarization Companion. These solutions are all underpinned by an AI agent that draws and acts on AI generated analysis from Bitmovin’s AI Scene Analysis and agentic tools from other products like Bitmovin’s VOD Encoding and Bitmovin’s Player.
With the Vertical Short Form Clipping solution, video providers can use natural language prompts to automatically generate short form clips at scale, detecting highlights, reframing for vertical screens, and preserving key action with subject-aware cropping. Clips are then ready for distribution after being processed by Bitmovin’s VOD Encoder, which is optimized for fast turnaround and short-form use cases. This enables video providers to reach and engage with audiences across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, to drive viewers to long form content.
Voice Operated Seeking allows video providers to use scene level information extracted by AI Scene Analysis to empower viewers to interact and search through video content in a natural way, using their voice. Rather than seeking through a timeline in Bitmovin’s Player, viewers can use voice commands to jump to moments through simple prompts like “replay the car chase scene”.
The third tool, Summarization Companion builds on the AI Scene Analysis search tool used for the previous solution, by allowing streaming services to offer viewers a feature enabling them to request on-demand summaries or catch-ups. With this feature, viewers can ask what they’ve missed or learn more about a character with a simple verbal voice request, all without leaving the stream. Both the Voice Operated Seeking and the Summarization Companion solutions enhance the viewing experience by giving viewers a natural way to interact with the content, and add value by helping viewers get more from content.
Jacob Arends, Senior Product Manager, Bitmovin, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to release the Agentic AI Hub, which brings Bitmovin’s products like AI Scene Analysis up to another level by generating new ways to engage viewers and create value. Furthermore, in the spirit of encouraging experimentation and accelerating the pace of innovation, the agentic tools used in these solutions will be available for developers to use via Bitmovin’s MCP servers, allowing video services full control to adapt and use in-house to create new workflows for their customers. This allows developers to focus more on pushing innovation forward.”
More solutions and MCP tools will be made available via the Bitmovin’s Agentic AI Hub in the coming months.
