The solution gives broadcasters the opportunity to deploy non-linear ad formats at scale to make additional inventory available.
Staines-upon-Thames, UK, 26 AUGUST, 2026 – Yospace, the trusted leader in Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI), has announced the release of its Ad Presentation solution, which enables broadcasters to apply non-linear ad formats at scale. It will demonstrate the new capabilities at IBC 2026.
The Ad Presentation solution supports ad formats being standardised by the IAB Tech Lab’s Ad Format Hero initiative, including pause ads, overlays, squeezebacks, and L-banners. These non-linear formats open up new ad inventory for broadcasters and offer greater flexibility for advertisers, creating new opportunities for contextual ad placements and attribution tools to link ad views directly to sales conversions.
Yospace’s solution can be deployed within existing streaming workflows, allowing non-linear ad formats to be implemented at scale and with ease. The solution works across live, VOD and FAST services, whether content is delivered using Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI) or Server-Guided Ad Insertion (SGAI), allowing broadcasters to unlock these new formats across their entire device portfolio while avoiding the need to create time-consuming, device-specific implementations. For existing Yospace customers, it’s just a simple plug-in.
Contextual targeting is another exciting factor, enabled because non-linear ads can be one-to-one addressable. There is also potential to place ads alongside key scenes so advertisers can take advantage of settings that are favourable to their brand. For example, a cool, thirst-quenching drink placed alongside a scene of a hot summer’s day. Greater attribution can also be achieved through the placement of QR codes, which can be dynamically generated at the device level for each viewer, providing a direct link that advertisers highly value between ad spend and sales.
The Ad Presentation solution also benefits from Yospace’s real-time device intelligence, which assesses player and device capabilities dynamically to ensure that only data that can be rendered correctly on the end-user device is delivered. This device-aware approach preserves the viewer experience, broadcaster trust, and advertiser outcomes by ensuring that viewers see only advertising of the highest technical quality, regardless of how they are watching.
Tim Sewell, CEO, Yospace, commented: “Yospace has always been guided by the needs of our customers, the broadcasters, both on the streaming and advertising teams. The development of our Ad Presentation solution has come as a direct result of these close working relationships. Thanks to the work of the IAB for the first time, broadcasters and streaming providers are able to offer advertisers high quality standardised non-linear ad formats no matter what, and how, the end viewer is watching. We believe the combination of this standards-based approach, combined with the ease of implementation offered by our Ad Presentation solution will unlock significant incremental demand for our broadcaster customers.”

The Ad Presentation solution supports ad formats being standardised by the IAB Tech Lab’s Ad Format Hero initiative, including pause ads, overlays, squeezebacks, and L-banners.
Yospace will be at IBC from 11th – 14th September (booth 5.C78). For more information and to request a meeting, please visit https://www.yospace.com/ibc.

Notes to Editor
While the ability to implement non-linear ads has existed for some time, there has never been a universal mechanism to trade, deliver, and measure them across the full spectrum of devices. The barrier hasn't been the formats themselves, but the complexity of deploying them consistently at scale, with monetisation requirements across multiple devices and endpoints resulting in labour-intensive, bespoke implementations. This challenge led to the creation of the IAB Tech Lab's Ad Format Hero project in 2024, which set out to identify emerging CTV formats with the greatest potential for industry-wide adoption and establish common standards around them.
